Once you ‘find the one’, we know that you’ll be keen to move in and make the place your home. Make sure you are prepared for the viewing and application process. We’ll ask you to complete a ‘Passport to view’ before we can confirm a viewing appointment. You need to have viewed a property before making an Application. We let properties for hundreds of landlords and most landlords ask us to manage their property for them. This means that you will still have contact with us after you have moved in, including paying your rent, reporting repairs ‘Report a repair’, or looking to extend your tenancy. Whether you are renting for the first time or you are a long-standing tenant with us, you will almost certainly have some questions. Even if you have rented through us before, things change. It could be changes in the law or the procedures agents have to put in place to comply with the law. Tenant FAQsAll letting agents are legally required to disclose their fees and this information must be readily available. Following the Tenant Fee Act 2019, letting agents can only charge fees to tenants in certain circumstances.
Ensuring the safety and protection of our tenants is of huge importance to us. Every property is certified for energy performance, electric and gas, where applicable. Copies of certifications are provided to you electronically.
As a tenant, you should consider insuring your personal possessions. We strongly recommend that any Tenant’s Insurance policy you take out also includes cover for accidental damage to the landlord’s property (for example, an iron burn or red wine stain on a carpet). Our Applications Team can help you with this.
